SECTION 236 Subsidy Program
The Section 236 program is an indirect subsidy to the development
provided by HUD in the form of an Interest Reduction on the mortgage.
Residents are required to certify annually with the managing agent.
A 50059 form will be completed and become an attachment to the lease agreement.
Residents under this program will pay a minimum of the basic rent not to exceed the market rent

This Section 8 is provided and administered through outside agency.
Each resident will be required to complete the annual certification
process with this agency to determine their portion of rent.
Qualifying households will pay a maximum of 30% of their gross
monthly income for rent. HUD will pay the remaining 70% of the rent
on their behalf.
